High Speed Motors
The motor product range expanded to include the
Brushless High Speed (BH)
(340kb) motors. This product is as much a capability as it is physical designs. We
offer motors to operate up to 120,000 RPM and complement them with specialized drive
electronics (BDH Drives) that ensure high efficiency operation together with accurate
speed control. Generally, high speed motors are customized designs that have to consider
the mechanical conditions such as overall size and rotor ID, mechanical design for
centrifugal forces, as well as the electro-magnetics.
Servo and General Automation Motors
Most recently we introduced the Quantum Series of
brushless servo motors. As with all of Emoteq's products, these motors are available in
both housed and frameless configurations with a variety of options to allow construction
of the optimum motor package. Through extensive value engineering and investments in
tooling, the Quantum Series motors offer users a high performance quotient at a very
attractive price.

Drive Electronics
In 1998, Emoteq acquired Ashurst
Logistic Electronics Ltd, a UK based engineering company, in order to expand Emoteq's
drive electronics offering, increase capability to engineer more advanced drive technology
products, and to expand Emoteq's UK operations. Today, Emoteq offers a complete range of
drive electronics including current loop (torque) and velocity loop four quadrant servo amplifiers, two quadrant speed
controllers, stepper motor controllers, and intelligent controls for coordinated motion
profiling. The Brushless Drive (BD Series)
offers a comprehensive set of drive solutions for many motion control
applications. However, our UK drives group also offers custom drive electronics
engineering for industrial as well as military & aerospace applications.
NEW: Megaflux thin ring, brushless torque motors. Click for Megaflux catalog. This is a new family of frameless brushless torque motors designed to be integrated into the system mechanics for a minimum dimensional envelope while achieving a very high torque to inertia ratio and maximum servo system stiffness. Megaflux motors range in diameter from approximately 6 inches (152mm) to 31 inches (792mm).
